Road Trip 1 Northern Dry Creek & Alexander Valleys Geyserville, Lake Sonoma, Cloverdale Our northernmost Day Trip begins in Geyserville. This sleepy farm town is waking up as tasting rooms and restaurants flank the boardwalks along historic buildings. Victorian and modern inns invite you to stay. West of Geyserville this trip loops under Highway 101 into the top of Dry Creek Valley where wine tasters are treated to an eclectic variety of styles of premium wines, architecture and landscape... venerable historic wineries with Italian heritage, boutique artisan wineries, country gardens reminiscent of southern France, ornate villas, magnificent views & earthen caves. Travel north through Asti, (home to historic Italian Swiss Colony) on route to Cloverdale. Cloverdale, the “citrus capital” and once bustling lumber town, is now home to a delightful assemblage of wine country Victorian B&B’s and Inns.
